Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how embarqOS Ltd (“embarqOS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit this website or join our waitlist. We are the data controller for that personal data.
Who we are
embarqOS Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (company number to be confirmed), registered office Registered office address to be confirmed, Ireland. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@embarqos.com.
What data we collect
- Waitlist and contact details. When you submit the form on our site, we collect the email address you enter (and any message you choose to send us).
- Anti-spam signals. To tell people from bots, the form uses a hidden “honeypot” field and measures how long the page was open before submission. These are processed in your browser and are not used to identify you.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and form providers automatically process limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.
- Usage and analytics data. We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site — for example the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, and approximate location (derived from IP, which is not stored in full), device and browser type. This helps us improve the site, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. Until you give us your email through one of our forms, your activity is tied only to an anonymous identifier; if you do submit it, we link that email to your usage so we can recognise you as a contact.
We do not ask for special-category data, and you should not send it to us through the form.
How we use your data, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|
| Adding you to our waitlist and contacting you about the private beta and launch | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| Responding to messages and enquiries you send us | Our legitimate interest in answering you |
| Keeping the site secure and preventing spam and abuse | Our legitimate interest in protecting the service |
| Measuring how the site is used so we can improve it (analytics) | Our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site |
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:
- Web3Forms receives and delivers our form submissions to us.
- PostHog provides our privacy-focused analytics and processes the usage data above on our behalf, hosted in the European Union.
- Our hosting provider serves this website.
- Google Fonts: the site currently loads its typefaces from Google, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers (receiving your IP address) to fetch the fonts.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until we launch and you have had the chance to become (or decline to become) a customer, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. You can opt out at any time using the links below.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising cookies and does not use cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics provider, PostHog, stores a small identifier in your browser so it can tell repeat visits apart and measure how the site is used. We have configured it to be privacy-focused: data is hosted in the EU, and we do not use it for advertising. Your activity stays under an anonymous identifier unless you give us your email through a form, in which case we link it to your usage. If we introduce advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased, and to restrict or object to our processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before you withdrew it).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@embarqos.com. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland), our lead supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
